To say our 2013 was an eventful one would probably
be the understatement of the century.
Let's seeeeeeee.....
I started the year out with the fastest trip
across the country in the history of Earth (not really... but sort of...).
My sweet friend and Cheryl Cole look-alike
(for real, google her... They're twins) Meg
and I ventured off to LA LA Land for
48 hours of tourist-y bliss where we saw Ed Sheeran
in concert. If you don't know of him
then you don't know good music you should.
Go ahead and google him too while you're there.
for 9 days of some serious R&R.

Scottie was able to take a full week off
work this year for a vacation
which was amazinggggggg.
We went to our fave spot- Little Gasparilla Island
During all that we were also starting the
loan and planning process for our
NEW house we were building.
Like most Americans these days- our loan process went off without
a hitch and the mortgage broker and I
are now BFFL's who watch the Bachelor together.
...............
Riiiiiight. I wish.
The loan process was a headache to say the least,
but it all worked out in the end.
Our house turned out just perfect and with the help of our
families we were moved in and settled
within just a few days.
It wasn't three weeks or so after we moved
in that we found out we were
having a little McBaby =)
I was so excited/consumed with thoughts
that I ended up getting into a fender bender
within an hour of finding out (funny now-terrifying then).
Scottie and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary this year
by going to Burns Steakhouse in Tampa.
It was our first time going and we both
loved the food EXCEPT---
I was surrounded by wine... It was torture.
We went to the dessert room after our full on tour of the place
and Scottie is now convinced that
mob bosses meet there.
I find it hard to envision Tony Soprano
hanging out in Tampa, but whatevs.Notice the wine.... *drools* |
Since then we have been busy planning
for the little (BOY) and basically enjoying our last
few months of free nights
and a silent home.
Ohhhhhhhh 2014, I am so looking forward to you!
